Although you can explore the site somehow even without signing up, it is better to make your account to start connecting with other members. It's free and easy anyway. 

There are two options on how you can sign-up. First, you can use the basic way where you will input information like your gender, the genre of the person you are looking for and the age range. The second way is to register using your Facebook account. They say that they will not post anything on your timeline if you prefer to link your profile. The needed information will just be taken to complete your registration.

Other details that you need to manually input (if not yet found on your Facebook profile) include your date of birth, country, preferred username, and password which should have at least 8 characters, has small and capital letters, and at least one number. For profile not linked to the Facebook account, you should enter your email address and verify to continue.

Photo uploading is not required at this part of registration. Upon completion, you will have the option to go to your profile or to the dashboard where you can find the profiles of other members.

In terms of contacting, you generally need to be a standard or premium member to be able to send or reply to messages.

Contacting features include Quick Searching (even without registration), Advanced searching and sorting of search results, get matched by liking each other's profiles, read and send messages, add a member to your favourites' list to get his/her attention. You can also let a member reply to your messages even without paid membership by being a "Premium" member and pay an additional 10 GBP to your standard membership fee.

Icons for easier contacting are available on members profiles. You can find the messaging icon (envelope image), favourites icon (heart image), and the three dots (which means more) where you can find the options to invite to view private photos, tell a friend about him/her, and block or report for abuse.

You will find a member's profile in MySingleFriends to perhaps one of the most detailed profiles (dating sites category). Some items are optional, nonetheless, a lot of members are comfortable in answering and posting their information on the site.

Here are the sections and sample data that you will find on each part.

• Main header: photo, username, verification status, age, location, and tagline.
• About him/her: country, location, gender, age, star sign, height, body type, looks, hair color, eye color, relationship status, looking for, have children, want children, daily diet, smoking, drinking, education, occupation, income, ethnicity, home language, other languages, and religion
• About his/her ideal match: (mostly the same as about him/her, but answers can be multiple for a wider range of options

You'll find a circle beside each item, some a hollow, while some are shaded. A circle which is not shaded means that the item is not important at all; a circle with a quarter shade means that it is slightly important; a circle which is half-shaded means decidedly important, and lastly, a fully-shaded circle means non-negotiable.

On top of the standard membership fee, you can add 10 GBP per month so the members who you message can reply to you regardless of their membership status. However, this is only applicable to start package 3 months and above.

You have to pay the full amount and not on a monthly basis, through your credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. The biller "Dating Lab Ltd" will show up on your transaction records, which is the operator of the website.

Membership subscriptions are automatically set to auto-renew, so you have to cancel before the new cycle. Also, the refund is applicable for those who filed for a refund before 14 days after the first payment.
