You can't return to a profile you once chatted with if you're a free user. However, you can send a like to a user with whom you had a nice conversation. Our field test ★★★★★ 3.5/5
“I was bored one day and decided to search for random chat apps on the internet. I read some reviews about Chatspin and decided to give it a try. Signing up was easy, so I got to access the app very quickly. At first, I was uncomfortable showing my face to a stranger, but the filters helped me overcome my worries. I would say that Chatspin is a good app that you can kill time with. I’ve had a lot of decent conversations (and some bad ones, they all got reported), and even got to connect with some of them on social media!” - Richter, 24, Alabama
Design & usability
Design and Usability
Design-wise, Chatspin is tailored for the young and modern users: the font, graphics, colours (yellow and black), and overall web and app design make it appealing to the youth.
In terms of usability, using the mobile app is probably better than the desktop version.
The desktop has a huge window where the start and end chat click buttons, back and next arrows, and the filters are located. It takes up almost 75% of the screen.
The rest of the 25% is divided into two: the upper half where your video is located should you decide to share it and the lower half where the text chat window is found.
When you use the mobile app, whether you choose video or text chat, it will take up the whole screen. Switching from video to text is easy as the tabs can be found at the bottom of the page.
