Signing up for Hily is easy. It would take you not more than ten minutes to complete the registration process. There are three options on how you can start. You can use your Facebook account, phone number, or Snapchat account to open a Hily account. You'll get a verification message; then, you may proceed to fill out additional information. 

For the gender, you can choose from male, female, or binary. Then, type in your first name, birthday, educational level, and field of work. You will be asked to access the app to your location since matching is also based on proximity. You can upload photos immediately, but skip them and proceed to the next steps.

The set of questions here is more of secondary information. Choose what kind of relationship you are looking for. You may choose from the given options by clicking on your answers. The app also features zodiac compatibility, so it will help if you will declare if you believe in it too. Other questions involve your intentions about video chatting, the age range of your date, and the radius in miles for the distance filters.

Hily has a chat feature for direct communication with other members. However, if you want to break the ice or get matched before chatting, you can send a like first to the member from the swipe list. You can use features but are limited with a free membership. Still, a premium membership can let you send unlimited likes, reverse (in case you made a mistake swiping down a member), and share stories and live videos where other people can comment.

You can also do basic and advanced searching. Location is very important to make it work better, so it is advised that you turn on your location services so you'll find or others will find you easier when you're just around the area.

The profile quality of Hily members is quite similar to other dating apps in the market. Some information you will find is the name, online status, membership status, all the information you have declared during registration, and verifications you have completed. Others include additional information like interests/hobbies.

On the profile, you can find compatibility results in case both of you started answering compatibility questions, or if both of you believe in zodiacs.

Icons for sending a chat, muting members, and blocking or reporting are also on the profile page.

You will find a photo at the top of a member's profile. All of the photos are said to be screened and need to follow the following rules:

• The face should be clear, visible, and not distorted.
• Do not upload photos you do not own or don't show your face.
• Explicit content such as nudity, violence, drugs, or offensive messages will not be accepted.

Since Hily verifies its members thoroughly, there are almost no reports of fake profiles on the app.
