"Tantan proved to be an active social media dating app that gives results instantly. My first few hours with Tantan has already given me multiple matches who are also very active in chat. It is easy to differentiate a fake account versus genuine ones just by looking at the profile information. Because of this, it was easier to choose who to chat with among the many matches that I got. I like how you can play games with other people using the app. It adds up to the already fun experience of knowing other people. Aside from the games, I get to receive videos and photos from the more flirty matches that I have. Everything that you need on a dating app is available in Tantan. With how fast things are going, I believe I can find a relationship here in no time." Bret, 29

What Tantan really costs in Australia
There is enough functionality to use Tantan without a VIP subscription. Browsing profiles, finding matches, and sending messages are all available for free members. Upgrading to Tantan VIP will get you an Exclusive Badge. The badge helps your profile to stand out and you will have a highlighted nickname. Plus, with a VIP membership, you also get unlimited swipes. However, even with a free membership, the limited number of daily swipes is enough and just right for the cooldown refresh.

Is Tantan right for me?Who is signed up on Tantan in Australia?
Exclusively on DatingScout: online member numbers for dating services are usually far off, so we estimate how many people are really on Tantan from traffic data and interest, updated monthly, with history.
Tantan is a Chinese developed dating app and its headquarters is based in China which can be the reason for having a lot of Chinese-based users. Nonetheless, you can still find a considerably enough number of members from other countries.
The number of male members is almost twice the number of females based on the data available. But since it has a total of more than a million members, finding a woman wouldn't be a big of a problem.
Due to the nature of using gadgets and online access, it is normal to find more members who are middle-aged and are familiar in using online applications and sites.
As for member activity, there will always be someone online anytime of the day. But matches and replies are not guaranteed just like other dating sites.

"Tried this site for fun. Well, it's nice, but there's nothing extra special about it. It's just like any other dating sites and apps that I've used before. I'm not disappointed, I still enjoyed the features and met a few dates when I was still active." -Donna, 29
Design & usability
The app is for single individuals who are 18-years-old and above. Its design is simple, but it has a lot of interactive functions because it mostly involves you and your match. Most functionality is also available for free.
It doesn't have a website version which can be an additional feature in the future especially for those who are more into using their computers more than the phones.
